London. A city blanketed in fog. Night time sounds are muffled and even the cries of the helpless seem far away and haunting. Shadows move across the cobbled street and in every alley lies a new danger. Daytime brings little relief as the city waits with baited breath under the lifeless grey Velvet Skies.

Welcome to Velvet Skies, a new Gothic Horror RPG based in Victorian London! It's the year 1871 and as the Age of Reason and the Industrial Revolution rise in power, the old ways and myths struggle to hold their grip on reality. After three seperate Inquisitions those of supernatural origins are recovering from devastating losses. Most supernaturals didn't survive, and those who did were forced into hiding or risk being forever driven extinct. With the rise in occultism, in opposition to the new magic of science, these supernaturals are once again daring to return to civilization, seeking to repopulate their severly diminished numbers.

Old wars will be refueled, revenge will be gained, and as is always the case, the innocent will suffer the price. Where will you find yourself in this new dawning age, this twilight between Reason and Myth?
